Michael "Mike" Thomas Price's Obituary
Michael Thomas Price, 63, of Hendersonville, TN, went to be with Jesus on May 14, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Born July 31, 1962, Mike was raised in East Nashville by his parents, John and Lucy Price. In middle school, he began attending Inglewood Baptist Church and came to know Jesus at the age of 14. He later attended Neely’s Bend Baptist Church, where he met his wife, Shannon. Over the next forty years, he faithfully served as a deacon at Neely’s Bend, Two Rivers, and Long Hollow Baptist Churches.
Mike worked at his dad’s car lot as a teenager and developed a passion for sales and entrepreneurship. He started multiple healthcare companies before transitioning to a career in real estate. Mike loved working with people. He made them his friend first and did business with them second. Those who knew him remember his sense of humor and caring heart, as well as the way he encouraged others through prayer and a genuine investment in their personal well-being.
Mike believed the most important thing in life was relationships, with his relationship with Jesus shaping all others. He prioritized family above all else and was a loving husband to Shannon, father to their children, and Grandaddy to their two grandchildren.
Childhood summers spent fishing in his Grandaddy’s creek inspired a lifelong love for the beauty and peace of the great outdoors. He later shared that love with his own family through visits to National Parks, frequent beach vacations, and memorable hunting trips.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Shannon, children, Ben (Kendal) Price, Annalise Price, Luke (Sarah) Price, and Isabelle Price, grandchildren, Boone Price and Madison Price, mother, Lucy Myers, sister, Sherri Siske, and a large extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Price, beloved grandfather, Thomas Petty, and brother-in-law, Mike Siske.
Mike’s family would like to thank Dr. Jonathan Abbas, Allie Smallwood, and their staff at TN Oncology, as well as the nurses on 5 Kidd and Outpatient Infusion at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital, for their kind and compassionate care of Mike during his illness.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Mike’s memory to Blood Cancer United.
The family will receive guests at Long Hollow Church on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 4 pm until 7 pm, and again on Friday from 9 am until service time. The celebration of Mike's life will begin at 11 am on Friday, May 22, 2026. Burial will follow at Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
