Michael Copley Springer of Hendersonville, Tn.
Michael, age 79, died unexpectedly December 29, 2023 at Alive Hospice of Nashville. Michael was born April 20, 1944.
Michael is preceded in death by his loving wife of 40 years, Linda Sue Springer; parents, the late Aaron and Helen(Copley)Springer; his beloved grandparents, Percy and Girleen Copley; sister-in-law, Barbara(Guerry)Watson; brother-in-law, Cecil(Carol)Willis
He is survived by his wife, Harriet Willis Springer; son, Aaron(Raven)Springer; daughter, Jackie(Chet)Melvin; granddaughter, Jessica(Preston)Raymer; step daughters, Nicole Lavender and Trevana George
Michael was raised in Centerville, Tn. There, he developed many special relationships with family and friends that lasted a lifetime. He attended the prestigious Columbia Military Academy, where he finished 4th in his class of 1962. Later in 1962, he moved to Nashville and attended Vanderbilt University for 2 years. He finished his education at the University of Tennessee in 1972, where he also attended law school for 2 years. Michael and his father owned and operated Trinity Lane Market in East Nashville for over 40 years.
Michael was extremely well rounded and always excelled throughout his life. He was a man of faith, a great husband and father, a brilliant student and successful business man. He was an avid golfer that was consistently an “age shooter” in his later years. Michael was a voracious reader and his knowledge on almost any subject or topic seemed limitless. He was a man of many talents with an infectious personality that naturally drew people to him. He was truly blessed with incredible people skills. He will be greatly missed.
