Mickey F. Crook's Obituary
Crook, Mickey – Age 69, passed away Monday, February 8, 2010, at her residence. She attended East High, and also Northwestern Taximist College, receiving her degree in Taximist, Mickey also attended bible college and got a degree in that as well. She was a professional ball player for Belmont College. Later, she worked for the Metro Water Service for many years. She was the daughter of the late Herman and Helen Crook. Her family was known as “The Crook Brothers” with the Grand Old Opry for 63 years, also working for WSM. Mickey was also a gospel writer, folk song writer, and piano player. She attended both Lockland Baptist Church and Gallatin Non Denomination Church. She loved her Lord Jesus. Mickey would go out of her way to help anyone, that is who she was. Her favorite subject was History; favorite song was: Bridge over troubled water; and her favorite gospel song was Just A Closer Walk With Thee. She is survived by her best friend on earth, Linda Watts, along with several family and close friends. Mickey wouldn’t want to leave this world without letting everyone know that she loved life, her family, and her friends. Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday, February 11, 2010, at 1PM, at Spring Hill Funeral Home with interment following in historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-7PM at SPRING HILL FUNERAL HOME & CEMETERY.CASUAL ATTIRE IS REQUESTED
