Mr. Milburn Carlton Davis' Obituary
Milburn Carlton Davis, age 94, of Nashville, TN passed away June 22, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 72 years Mary Lee Alley Davis; son, James Davis (Ellen); daughters, Marilyn Terry (Walter) and Rebecca Davis; sisters, Charlene Davis Snoddy and Joan Davis; brother, Howard Davis (Barbara); sister-in-law, JoAnn Cassidy Davis; grandchildren, Alex Davis, Carl, Cliff (Jessica) and Clint Terry, Jodie Williams (Dustin Myers) and Justin Williams; great-grandchildren, Miles Myers.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Lorena Tallent Davis; brother, Austin Davis; and sister, Bobbie Davis Alley.
Milburn was born December 20, 1923 in Red Bank, TN. He was most proud of his family, his service during WWII in the U.S. Navy and the city of Nashville for which he was the unofficial family tour guide. He attended Issac Litton High School and following his military service was employed by and retired from John S. Milam Optical Co. Milburn’s hobbies include woodworking and stamp collecting with the Nashville Philatelic Society.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 9-10am at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A graveside service to follow at 10 am in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
