Mildred Courtenay Taylor's Obituary
Mildred Courtenay Taylor, age 94 of Nashville/Madison, TN passed away June 10, 2012 at her home. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was born in Goodlettsville, TN and co-founded Trinity Gas Co. in 1964 with her husband, working there daily until November, 2010. She was a long time member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Douglas Taylor, Jr. and son, William Douglas Taylor, III, and is survived by her son, Ricky C. (Carol) Taylor of Old Hickory; three grandchildren, Courtenay (Amy) Taylor of Mt Juliet, TN, Amanda (Dave) Hewitt of Hermitage, TN and Samuel (Lindsey) Taylor of Pegram, TN; two great-grandchildren; five nieces and nephews, Ceile (Gary) Dukes of Atlanta, GA, Cliff (Lynn) Courtenay of Valdosta, GA, John Marshall Cato of Murfreesboro, TN, and Anita (Bill) Arnold of San Antonio, TX, as well as numerous great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 A.M., Thursday, June 14, 2012 from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Chaplain Larry Eckman officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Willowbrook Hospice or to the American Heart Association.
