Rowena loved helping others so much that’s why she became a nurse it brought her so much joy. She was always making people laugh, I can remember one time after she lost part of her foot and the toes on her other foot and she ask our youngest sister Myra if she had any toenail clippers so Myra searched all over for those clippers and Rowena was laughing so hard and Naomi and Myra told her they find the clippers and then they ask why was she laughing so hard and that’s when it dawned on them she was laughing because she had no toenails. That was her she loved to make others laugh. I love you my dear sweet sister.
RowRow was the big sister I never had. We would talk for hours about life in general and remember some of the highlights of her summers here in Jacksonville, Fl. One summers night she was taking a dip in the pool and a garden snake decided to join her and before she realized it she was walking on water to get the heck up out of the pool. :) She was the luckiest person I know when it came to BINGO and her pull tabs. Always ready to have a good time and share with all! Summer will never be the same without you, RowRow! Forever enjoy the waves and beach!
Rowena had a great sense of humor and very witty. She loved her family and she loved being a nurse. One of her favorite places was the beach. She said it brought her much joy and pleasure. Once we a few family members were walking on the beach looking for sharks teeth. Rowena was sitting in her chair with her feet in the water and within a 45 minute span 3 sharks teeth literly washed up onto her feet. She proudly said I found my share and and proudly grinned.
