Mildred Moore McIntyre's Obituary
Mildred Moore McIntyre, age 91 of Nashville, passed away November 11, 2011. Mrs. McIntyre was born December 27, 1919 in Clay County, TN to Dewey Jackson and Wealthea Moss Moore. An avid gardener, painter and cook, Mrs. McIntyre was the quintessential Christian woman: A very loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who supported many causes donating her time and money in so many places of need, never looking for fanfare but simply wanting to help someone. She was a member of Crieve Hall Church of Christ as well as the Nashville Fire Department Women's Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband of 56 years, former Metro Fire Chief, Clarence McIntyre. She is survived by her daughters, Jane (Bert) Woodroof and Mary (Allen) Bradley; brothers, Calvin Moore and Jackie (Olivia) Moore; grandchildren, Kelly (Eric) Clark, Mary Beth McSweeney, Chuck (Angela) Bradley, Bryant (Shannon) Woodroof and Mary Margrette (Ryan) Parsille; great-grandchildren, Ian Clark, Ethan Clark, Benjamin Bradley, John Bryant Woodroof, Emma Kate Woodroof and Rachel Jane Parsille. Funeral services will be conducted 10 AM, Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011 from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Bill Watkins, Darrell Blankenship, and Jim Olive officiating. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery with Chuck Bradley, Eric Clark, Bryant Woodroof, Ryan Parsille, Charles Parker and Kurt Knapp serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM, Monday and from 9-9:45 AM, Tuesday at Spring Hill Funeral Home.
