Millard "MC" Davis' Obituary
Millard Ciscero (MC) Davis, age 82, of Madison, Tennessee, died Tuesday, February 9th, 2010 of heart failure resulting from End Stage COPD. He died in the Summit Hospital Emergency room at 8:18 pm. He was preceeded in death by his wife Mary Estaleen.. He is survived by three children: Troy Davis of Hurricane Mills, Tn., Delsa Davis of Cordova, Tn., and Denise Smith of Madison, Tn. Also five grandchildren- Nikki Sain , Wade Davis, Corey Davis, & Sharon and Sarah Smith. Also five great grandchildren. Born in Limestone County, Alabama, Mr. Davis and his wife moved to Nashville in 1950 after spending the first 18 months of married life in Mesa, Az, where Mr. Davis learned the trade of plastering houses. In Nashville he worked his way up in the building business until 1970, when he built The Log Cabin Restaurant and later The Best Western Motor Inn along I-40 W at the Linden Waverly exit. He lives behind a legacy of hard work, frugality, and great endurance manifested until his last day on earth. The following will be held at Spring Hill Cemetery at 5110 Gallatin Pike in Madison: Visitation Friday 5:30-8:00 pm, and briefly Saturday morning at 9:30. The funeral will begin at 10:30. Brief service and burial at Sylone Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
