Mrs. Minnie Jones' Obituary
Minnie Lee Jones, age 83, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2016.
Mrs. Jones was born to Floyd and Bertha (Watkins) in Ellijay, GA.
Minnie travelled the world with the love of her life Herman R. Jones SSFC (Ret.), raised her family, and created hundreds of quilts of which she never sold.
Minnie is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her son Joseph H. Jones, and her daughter Martha Deborah Etheridge in addition to five brothers and two sisters.
Minnie is survived by her daughter Patricia Rickman, sisters Bertha Manning and Francis McGill, her brothers Bobby Jones, Lowell Jones, and Max Jones, her grandson Joseph Etheridge, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Spring Hill Funeral Home from 1-4 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday June 13, 2016 at Parkway Baptist Church with Pastor Ken Castleberry officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to The American Cancer Society or to Adoration Hospice.
