Mrs. Nan Adams' Obituary
Mrs. Nan Adams, age 98 of Madison, passed away February 5, 2016. She was born October 10, 1917. Preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, James “J.B.” Adams, Jr.; parents, Joseph David and Elizabeth Bell; Daneel Reece (son-in-law); nine brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Dolores Reece, Karen Larson, and Jamie Adams; grandchildren, Erick Reece (Ronda), Darla R. Hager (Jeremy), Kyle Stroud; and great-grandchild, Danica Reece and sister, Elizabeth Bell.
She and J.B. met on a blind date and married six months later. During war time, Nan worked in Oakridge and for the VA. She and her husband were in partnership at Mid-Tenn Rubber Stamp Company. She was an avid bowler, gardener, Atlanta Braves fan, enjoyed CNN with Anderson Cooper and was artistic with crafts and hand work. She was a member of Inglewood Baptist Church.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, February 9, 2016, 12:00 noon at Spring Hill Funeral Home with Dr. Kevin Shrum and Dr. Fred Baldwin officiating. Interment will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and nephews. Visitation will be Monday 3:00-8:00 p.m. and Tuesday 11:00-11:45 a.m. at Spring Hill Funeral Home.
