Ms. Nancy Blackman's Obituary
Nancy Jane Blackman, age 91, passed away on August 29, 2019 in Hendersonville, TN. She was born October 6, 1927 to William Vernon McMahan and Bertha Mae (Brown) McMahan both preceded her in death.
Nancy was a nurse for many years and enjoyed her retirement volunteering in various hospitals in the area.
Nancy is survived by her son Tom Blackman (Beth), daughters Marjorie Martin (Mike), and Virginia Weir (Life Partner Bill Diamond). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Walter Blackman, her daughter Mary Jane Lewis and her son-in-law Michael T. Lewis.
Visitation will be from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M. Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at the Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, Tennessee 37216. Graveside services will take place Wednesday at 12:00 PM in the historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Friends and family are requested to meet at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery at 11:30 am. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Nancy Blackman (Nanny) to the youth group at Hurricane Chapel Free Will Baptist Church where Nancy’s grandson serves as the Youth Pastor.
