Ms. Nancy Hamilton Murphy's Obituary
Nancy Hamilton Murphy, age 82, passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 24, 2023 at NHC Healthcare in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Nancy was born on June 8, 1940 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Robert Hamilton and Elizabeth Mulrooney. Nancy was an employee of Target in Goodlettsville, Tennessee for many years and retired there. Nancy was a mother, Granny and Great Granny. She enjoyed feeding and spoiling her grandchildren and making sure everyone was happy. Nancy dearly loved her children and went to great lengths to help them any way she could. She was a very caring and giving person to all. Nancy is preceded in death by her husband Malcolm Murphy, her son Bryan Murphy, and her brothers Robert Hamilton, James T Hamilton, Richard W Hamilton, and John Hamilton. Nancy is survived by her son Gerald Murphy, sister Mary Hire, two grandchildren Trevor Murphy and Michael Murphy (wife Nicole). Nancy also has one great grandchild Kye Murphy.
A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at 1pm at Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at Spring Hill Funeral Home one hour prior to the graveside service.
