Ms. Nancy Laux Tugwell's Obituary
Nancy Laux Tugwell, age 88 of Madison, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on January 07, 2017. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, John Henry Laux and Frances Lee Harper; her husband of 30 years Robert B. “Bob” Tugwell; two brothers, Henry Laux III, James Laux; one sister, Barbara L. Gilliland. She is survived by her two sons, Robert B. Tugwell Jr. “Tug”(Karen), Michael L. Tugwell (Charlotte); two daughters, Karen T. Cannon (Bob), Tina T. Hudson (Barry). She is also survived by her ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and thirteen nieces and nephews whom she loved with all her heart. The family would like to express a special Thank You to her long-term caregiver Anetta Bell; special neighbors, Lou and Joy Castro and best friend Judy Squires.
In her younger years Nancy and her husband Bob were the featured dancers on the Noel Ball show, a local television show here in Nashville. Later in life Nancy and Bob owned and operated the “Nancy Laux Dance Studio” for 25 + years in Inglewood, where countless students were taught the art and discipline of dance. In retirement Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family and sewing for her grandchildren and great-grand children.
In lieu of flowers the family would like to request that memorial contributions be made to Alive Hospice, Nashville in Nancy’s memory.
