Nancy Williams Warner McDougal's Obituary
Preceded in death by parents James & Corinne Williams, 1st husband George (Bootsie) Warner, sisters Beverly Gattis, Virginia Cravens, Ione Wall & Judy Lee.
Survived by husband Larry McDougal, her children James Warner (Kalene) & Terri Luna (Jimmy). Her three grandsons James, Douglas & Jeremy Luna. Her seven great grandchildren: Taylor German Zachary Luna, Natalie, Joshua, Shiloh, Shelby & Harleigh Luna. A host of nieces & nephews.
She and her family placed membership at Jackson Park Church of Christ when they first built the basement in the 40s and she was the longest attending member of the congregation. She taught a class for 25 years as well as daily kindergarten for 9 years there.
She was adopted by her loving parents, James & Corinne & met her 3 biological sisters when she was 40. Her first husband Bootsie Warner, also a member of Jackson Park, passed away after 15 years & later she married Larry, a bachelor and Architect, who also went to Litton & was a neighbor and friend who when young. They ran into each other many years later; bachelor meets widow; under a red light downtown & a couple of years later there was a wedding. She always said she was twice blessed. They were married 56 years.
She loved her church, music, drama, poetry, travel, entertaining, pets and everyone she knew.
She was a member of the Isaac Litton Marching 100, Madison Red Hat Pearls, Cumberland View Garden Club, The Busy-6, Litton Gals & Madison Fifty Forward. She did a Reminisce Program at Jackson Park Christian Home for 20 years & one at Madison Fifty Forward for that long also. She also headed up a visitation team for her church of 27 ladies and they always enjoyed the annual Christmas party at her home. She liked to stay active & was always happy. She even had a kindergarten class reunion each year for the 9 classes she taught, annual patios breakfasts, Christmas parties and foreign parties for her friends. She stayed busy.
She had a love for animals, especially her Bitzy & Kitty.
She wants her church, family & friends to know she loves them very much & has cherished the fact that they were in her life.
