It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mrs. Nara Chan on November 9th, 2023, in Lebanon, Tennessee.
Nara was born on August 20th, 1949, in Cambodia. She was a mother to all, a fantastic cook, and the most caring and generous soul you’d every meet. She cared for all others above herself and was a blessing to all who knew and loved her. Her kindness and love will live on in the family and friends she leaves to cherish her memory.
Nara is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Pring Nhep. She is survived by her daughters Sokha Nhep Lou and her husband William Lou, Sokhan Nhep and her partner Adam Henley, Sokul Nhep and her partner Gregory Poindexter, and Sara Nhep and her partner Anthony Sharpe; grandchildren Anna Lou, Aaron Lou, Khyuan Nhep, Malea Henley, Ethan Henley, Jashell Tyus, and Corey Tyus.
The family cordially invites guests and relatives for a time of visitation on Saturday, November 18th, 2023, from ten thirty in the morning until one thirty in the afternoon, with a celebration of life service to follow, officiated by Pastor Khem Sam. Burial will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Adam Henley, Gregory Poindexter, Anthony Sharpe, Khyuan Nhep, Aaron Lou, and Corey Tyus. William Lou will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
Final arrangements for Mrs. Chan are entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37216. “Where Nashville Comes to Remember.”
