Ms. Nelda S. Driscoll's Obituary
Nelda S. Driscoll, age 87 of Hendersonville, Tennessee passed away on Monday, July 8, 2019. Nelda was born on February 28, 1932 in Shelbyville, Tennessee to the late Floyd G. and Roberta J. (Swing) Smith. Nelda worked for the Sumner County Board of Education for over ten years, and later was a Demo Lady at Sam’s Club. She was an active member of Hendersonville First Baptist Church for 50 years.
Family was the most important thing in her life, and her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy.
In addition to her parents, Nelda was preceded in death by two sons, Floyd Michael and Larry Franklin Jenkins, one great-grandchild, Matthew Scarlata, and sister, Helen W. Tidwell, and a brother, Frank F. Beckwith. She is survived by one son, David W. Beckwith, and three daughters: Kristine Harrell (John), Carolyn Primm, Jennifer Dawes (Timothy). She is also survived by her ten grandchildren: Tonya Bunch (Ray), Michelle Harman (Aaron), Jason Pike (Alia), Jessica Champlin (Stephen), Katelynne Pike, Jeffrey Simms, Arin Beckwith (Crystal), Haley Ivsich (James), Ashlie Scarlata (Danny), and Wendi Frensley (Tommy). She is also survived by her thirteen great-grandchildren: Eric Conner, and Haiden Bunch, Nikita and Aria Harman, Izzy and Zane Ivsich, Christopher Beckwith, Ethan and Bryce Champlin, and Jordan, Kevin, and Timothy Scarlata; her nephew Charles R. Wheeler (Fonda) and her niece Mary Jane Raymond (Wayne).
A visitation for Ms. Driscoll will be held at Spring Hill Funeral Home on Thursday, July 11, 2019 from 4-8pm and again on Friday, July 12, 2019 from 10-11am with a Celebration of Life Funeral Service beginning at 11am. Entombment in Spring Hill Serenity Mausoleum will follow. Spring Hill Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final care of Ms. Driscoll. “Where Nashville Comes to Remember.”
