Ms. Norma Briggs Davis' Obituary
Norma Briggs Davis, age 91, passed away on October 17, 2019 in Nashville, TN. She was born July 13, 1928 the daughter of John and Mattie (Capley) Briggs both whom preceded her in death.
Norma married Arthur Collins Davis on June 16, 1946, he preceded her in death. Norma enjoyed her independence, being 91 years old and still living at home and taking care of herself was something she took great pride in. Along with taking care of herself, she always took care of her family. She was always there no matter what if someone needed her, you always knew that whatever you told Norma it would stay between you two as she was very trustworthy. Norma loved to play casino games on her tablet when she wasn’t spending time with family. Norma was a joy to be around and was a very sweet woman and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Norma is survived by her daughters Lisa Hamblin and Alice Crosslin; sister Alice Goodrich; grandchildren Heather Morris and Trey Hamblin; great-grandchildren Ariel Lytle and Taylor Davis Crosslin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband A.C. Davis, her sister Evelyn Ryan and two brothers Alvin Briggs and Houston Briggs.
Norma’s visitation will be Saturday, November 2, 2019 from 10-12 P.M. with the funeral service immediately following at 12:00 P.M. at the Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, Tennessee 37216.
