Mrs. Norma Clark Filson-Rychen's Obituary
Norma Clark Filson-Rychen, 85, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022. Born April 11, 1937, in Nashville, she was the daughter of the late Harold D. Clark and Molly Orene Linder Clark.
She graduated from Isaac Litton High School in 1955. Norma was a woman of strong Christian faith and was a member of Judson Baptist Church. She enjoyed Bingo, Scrabble and word puzzles and was a big fan of the Tennessee Titans and Vanderbilt University. Her family will remember her as an intelligent woman who was a caregiver, a nurturer. So much so, she would often stop and buy candy for the nurses en route to her doctors appointments.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands James Howard Filson and Mickey Rychen; sister Geraldine Thompson.
She is survived by her daughter Kimberly Ann (Doug) Filson-Staggs; son Jeffery Howard (Kiara) Filson; brothers Ronald Clark, Buddy (Nancy) Clark, and Ray (Wilma) Clark; sister Patsy Meadows; grandchildren Clark James Staggs, Adam James Filson, and Evan Clarke Filson; several nieces and nephews; and special friends the Judson Jewels from Judson Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 27 at Spring Hill Funeral Home from 4 pm until 8 pm. A Celebration of Life Service officiated by Joe Evans will be held 2 pm on Friday, October 28 at the funeral home with entombment following in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
