Mrs. Norma Jean (Rawls) Lyle's Obituary
Norma Jean (Rawls) Lyle, age 84, of Smyrna passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Tuesday, August 25, 2015. She was born December 12, 1930 in Nashville to the late Edgar and Thelma Pearl Rawls. Norma is also preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Lyle. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse at St. Thomas Hospital for 25 years where she was dearly loved by her patients. Norma was a long time member of Smyrna Church of Christ.
She is survived by her daughter, LaDonna Swaim (Larry); son, Randy Lyle (Patty); brother, James Rawls; grandchildren, Cynthia Gannon (Russell), Lance Swaim (Margie), Suzanne Galford (Brian), Allison Lyle and Harrison Lyle (Megan); great-grandchildren, Taylor Galford, Hayley Fitzgerald, Kelsey Barnes (Mackenzie) Sage Gannon, Megan Swaim and Katherine Swaim; and great great-grandchildren, Lila Annabelle Denton and Lincoln James Barnes.
The family will receive friends Friday from 5 – 8 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. -1 p.m. at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A celebration of life funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 29, 2015 from the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Smyrna Church of Christ Benevolent fund.
