My condolences to all of June Pursell's family and extended family. When I told my brother of the loss of our dear aunt he replied "a true Southern Belle has past..." and that was our picture of our Aunt June. She was a genuine Southern Lady - beautiful and proper and, as was said by another person on this wall, ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who may be in need and in view. We all thought Aunt June was beautiful and it's a joy to see her the way we remembered her in these photos up to the current photos, with the same sweet smile. She always looked happy and would talk to us kids - something not all the adults did at that time. But she was also strong, and you can see that in some of her photos, as well. I was fortunate to get to visit with her a couple of years ago, when she was recovering from treatment in the hospital and we must have watched 6 of those home makeover shows. It was fun just talking to her about what changes they should make while also catching up on all the family members and how everyone was doing. She was from my mom and dad's era and you could hear a mother's care and concern with each question she asked about our family.
I miss you, Aunt June - you with your easy and graceful ways, and the quiet way you used to stand by your husband. I wish I could have gotten to Nashville to see you one more time - but I trust I will see you again and give you a squeeze to beat the band!
Lovingly, Leighnae
