Mr. Oliver H. Dale's Obituary
Mr. Oliver H. Dale, passed away at 95 years of age on Sept 13th at his home.
Mr. Dale was in the insurance and real estate business in Nashville from the 1950s through the 1980s. He was a lifelong member of Dale Church of the Nazarene, where he taught Sunday School for many years. He also was a member for over 50 years at the Masonic Lodge in Goodlettsville, a Shriner in the '50s and '60s and a Veteran of WWII. He was active in Civitan Club of Goodlettsville and the Lions Club.
He was a faithful Christian, friend, father and lover of life and an avid sports fan of the University of Tennessee Volunteers. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Mr. Dale is survived by daughters, Diane Harrison (Michael) of Atlanta, GA
and Deborah Carter (Rodney) of Dakota Dunes, SD; Grandchildren, Ryan Carter, Cameron Carter, Rachel Haviland and Eric Haviland.; sisters, Joyce Vardell of Inglewood and Martha Moss of Mt Juliet; nieces, Nanette Frisk, Alice Thomasson, Lynn Vardell Whiting, Carolyn Dale, and Emily Isom; Nephews, Cliff and Drew Stewart, Jon Stewart, Louis, Mack and Kyle Moss, Marty Vardell, Albert Dale, Alan Dale, Paul and Phillip Isom.
He is preceded in death by wife, Claudine McClaran Dale and siblings, Eleanor Clark, Nelle Stewart, Lucien Dale, Alvin Dale and also parents Matilda and Andrew Cecil Dale
Pall bearers and honorary pall bearers will be Mr. Dale’s nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2016 from 4-6 pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will follow at 6pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery on Monday at 10 am.
