Mr. Onie C. Orman's Obituary
Onie C. Orman, age 92, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2017. Onie was born to Onie Lee and Etta Lee (Booker) Orman in Nashville, Tennessee on August 12, 1924.
Onie married the love of his life Lillian M. Orman. They were married for over 50 years prior to her passing.
“Paw Paw” served his country in the Army during World War II. After the war, he worked many years at Harvey Machine Company. Paw Paw loved working and tinkering with his hands. Paw Paw also loved his coffee and sweets and he loved nothing better than telling his stories to all whom visited.
Onie is preceded in death by his wife Lillian Marie Orman, sons Roy C. Orman, Sr., and Joseph A. Orman, daughter Helen M. Orman, and daughter in law Linda M. Orman.
Onie was a strong, loving, and supportive Paw Paw to his grandchildren Lisa Marie (Brian) Bean, Lori Michelle Orman, Roy C. (Tammy) Orman, Jr., Marsha Gail (Christie) Orman, and Amanda Louise (Gilberto) Gutierrez. He also loved his great-grandchildren Jordan, Kevin, Ethan, Daniel, Trevor, Ashlie, Trey, John, Ashley, and Amber. In addition, Paw Paw’s legacy continues to grow through his great-greatgrandchildren Victoria, Jonah, Eli, and Silas.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 4pm-8pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 8:30am-10:30am. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 am in the Chapel at Spring Hill Funeral Home with burial to follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
