Pamela Kay Hopper's Obituary
We celebrate the beautiful life of Pamela Kay Hopper, born on August 21, 1952, a coffee enthusiast, a fan of a hearty meat-and-three, and a loving woman of the South. Pam passed away on April 30, 2026, leaving a legacy filled with warmth, laughter, and unforgettable meals. Her life shines brightly in the memories of everyone who loved her.
Pam was a daddy’s girl through and through, cherishing every moment with her late father Edward Weatherly. Her bond with her daughter Melissa Ott was so close that many thought they were sisters. Those who knew her saw a woman who was kind, compassionate, resilient, loyal, and generous. These qualities guided every choice she made and every relationship she formed.
Together with her late husband Steven Hopper, Pam traveled to 48 states, sometimes more than once, turning the open road into a shared adventure. She adored the beach and loved collecting seashells for Melissa, a simple gesture that showed her endless care. At home, she was an excellent cook whose dishes will be missed at every family table.
Family get-togethers were Pam’s favorite setting, filled with good food and laughter so deep it left everyone breathless. She also enjoyed outdoor activities and exploring new places, always eager to plan the next trip.
Pam is survived by her daughter Melissa Ott and son-in-law Brian Ott; grandsons Daniel Ott and Dylan Ott; sister-in-law Nancy Tucker; nieces Becky Bennett and Terri Tucker; and nephew Jeff Tucker. She is preceded in death by her husband Steven Hopper, parents Edward and Rose Weatherly, and brother Jerry Tucker. Each of them carries forward stories of her generous spirit and welcoming kitchen. Her family and friends will forever treasure the shells she gathered, the meals she prepared, and the kindness she shared.
As we remember Pam, we hold close her love for travel, good food, and family laughter. May every cup of coffee and every joyful gathering remind us to live with the same open heart that she showed every day. We celebrate a life well-lived and thank Pam for the gifts of love and adventure she leaves behind.
