Pamela Crawford Roney, 68, of Hermitage, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022. Born August 15, 1954, in New Orleans, Louisiana, she was the daughter of Laura Elizabeth Owens Crawford and the late JC Crawford.
She had retired as a logistics clerk for Genesco Shoe Company, where she met her loving husband Don. Pamela was a woman of strong Christian faith. She belonged to Two Rivers Baptist Church and most recently The Fellowship Church at Mt. Juliet. Her family will remember her as a saintly woman who was like an angel walking on earth. She always seemed to have a smile on and never had a negative word to say. She belonged to a group of ladies who had been best friends since high school and remained close throughout the years. She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend who will be missed dearly.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, JC Crawford, Jr.; and her sister Patsy.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Don Roney; mother Laura Crawford; brothers Larry Crawford, Gary (Penelope) Crawford, and Terry (Tanya) Crawford; sister Dianne Leaver; stepdaughter Shannon (Patrick) Shirey; brother-in-law Steve (Kathy) Roney; mother-in-law Reggie Roney; nephews Joshua (Scarlett) Roney, Nathan (Emily) Roney, JC (Tarsila) Crawford III, Matthew (Grace) Crawford, Justin (Stephanie) Crawford, and Paige (Koleman) Crawford; great nephews Jackson, Lane, Luke, Gabriel, Jeremiah, Brady, Baker, Noah and Taylor; great nieces Emma and Ellie; fur babies Missy and Scooter.
Visitation will be from 1 pm until 5 pm on Sunday, October 2 at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service with Pastor Scott Matthews officiating will take place on Monday, October 3, at 12 pm noon. There will be a visitation two hours prior to the funeral. Burial will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
