It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia “Pat” Ruth Rechter Daugherty on January 13, 2024, at her home in Zionsville, Indiana. She was born on January 3, 1942, in Bloomington, Indiana, to Benjamin Rechter and Helen Neely. Her life's journey took her to various places, including Medina, Ohio; Nashville, Tennessee; and Bradenton, Florida.
Pat’s early years took shape as a graduate of Bloomington High School and Stephens College. She loved raising her four children and hosting exchange students, a few that, still today, are as her own children. Throughout her life she traveled extensively, visiting all 7 continents. She delighted in hosting family gatherings and believed there was always room for one more person at the table. Pat will be remembered by her grandchildren for “Grammie Vacations” – a rite of passage that each grandchild anxiously anticipated.
As a generous loving soul, Pat experienced both the joys and challenges of life. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Larry Daugherty, her second husband, John Ossolinski, her brother, Ben R. (Joan) Rechter, sister-in-law Suzy (Rick) Rechter, her daughter, Beth Robb, son, Benji Daugherty, and great nephew Turner Phillips.
Pat is survived by her brothers: Sam (Bonnie) Rechter, Rick Rechter, Jerry (Melinda) Neely, her sister, Sharon (Dick) Douglass, son, Bill (Lori) Daugherty, daughter, Heather (David) Snyder, extended family Hunter (Reneé) Phillips, Sussie Hellesoe, Isabelle (Jerome) Dagorne and Fredric (Veronique) Touraille, as well as 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Throughout her life's journey, Pat touched the lives of many with her kindness, wisdom, and warmth. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and cherished moments that will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
We are thankful she is with her Lord in heaven. Rest in peace, dear Mom, Sister, Grammie and Friend. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Services will be held at Spring Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery 5110 Gallatin Pike South, Nashville, TN 37216 with visitation at 2:00 PM and services at 3:00 PM.
