Mrs. Patricia Ann Hutchinson's Obituary
Nashville—Patricia Ann Hutchinson, aged 75, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2019. She was born June 24, 1944 in Prescott, AR to Mary Sue Wood and Orman Hughes Trimble. She is preceded in death by her parents, her step-father Richard Crewe, and sister, Cindy Scott.
Pat is survived by her loving husband, Les Hutchinson, daughters Louise Collins (Michael) and Laurie Wright (Jared), sons Erik Hutchinson (Christina), and Chris Hutchinson (Teri) and nine grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Cindy Frie (Alex), Nancy Brown (Mark) and her niece Suzanne Scott—all of whom she loved deeply.
Pat was a proud graduate of the University of Tennessee. She was licensed for independent clinical practice (LCSW) soon after and received Diplomate status with her professional organization NASW. Pat’s areas of specialization included crisis intervention, substance abuse, children and family issues, grief and loss, abuse survivors and survivors of violence.
Her expertise as a counselor and organizational leader developed through work in a number of premier Nashville counseling agencies including Oasis Center, ALIVE Hospice, Family and Children’s Service, Teton CMHC, Victim Intervention Program and Baptist Hospital.
Pat was raised in New Mexico, but had made Nashville her home for more than 40 years. Pat was an avid sports fan who loved the Vols, Predators and Titans. She loved the outdoors, especially camping with her beloved, Les, and their dogs Lucky and Jesse.
Those who know Pat well are comforted by imagining her riding off into the sunset on her painted pony wearing her red cowboy boots.
In lieu of flowers, the Hutchinson family requests that donations be made to Oasis Center in Nashville and HEAR Nashville. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Pat will be held at a later date, which will be announced once finalized.
