Patricia Smiley Shockley's Obituary
SHOCKLEY, Patricia Smiley passed away July 22, 2011 peacefully with her family by her side after a brief illness with brain cancer, at the age of 59. Preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Ruby Smiley and Willard T. and Leone Shockley. Survived and much loved by her sons, Brian (Ann) and Brock Shockley and grandson, Drew; sisters, Sherryl (Corky) Chance, Carleen (Buddy) Logston, Cindy (John) Dickey and Tammy (Wade) Traughber; brothers, John (Julie) Smiley and Mike (Mary) Taylor; aunt, Helen Smiley; uncles, Kenneth (Jean) Smiley and John Ralph (Marilyn) Barry. Loved by many nieces, nephews and extended family. Born and raised in Nashville. For the past 13 years Patricia has been a much loved and loyal part of the Oak Hill School Family. She was involved in fundraising activities and especially loved working with all the children. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Alive Hospice or Oak Hill School. Visitation: Monday, July 25th, 4p.m.-7p.m. at Oak Hill School Enrichment Center, 4815 Franklin Pike, Nashville, TN 37220. Memorial Service: Tuesday, July 26th, 12:30p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, Main Sanctuary, 4815 Franklin Pike, Nashville, TN 37220. Burial to follow at Spring Hill Cemetery, for the family.
