Patsy Lynn McCullough's Obituary
Patsy Lynn McCullough (nee. Borum), was born on December 9, 1941 and passed away peacefully on Monday, October 9, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred Christine Fairfax and George Rhea Borum; husband James E. “Big Mac” McCullough, Sr.; son James E. “Little Mac” McCullough, Jr.; and daughter Mary Kelly McCullough.
Patsy is survived by son Michael R. “Mickey” McCullough (Cortney); daughters K. Shannon McCullough Mangrum (James), Erin A. McCullough Williams (Daniel), daughter-in-law Tina McCullough; eleven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Patsy graduated from Isaac Litton High School in 1959, and later from TSU Downtown campus with a double major in Art and History. Three generations of her family were in the audience cheering loudly.
Patsy was a loving wife and family matriarch, a talented painter, sculptor, gardener, observer of nature and avid collector. She enjoyed traveling, thrift stores, art books, parties, “ShowTime”, old buttons, flamingos and she passionately loved dogs and the color red. She had infinite patience and gave unconditional love, inspiring strength and creativity in all who knew her. Through her legacy of family and artistry she has left our world a more beautiful place.
The family cordially invites relatives and friends to a time of gathering on Friday, November 3rd from two o’clock in the afternoon until eight o’clock in the evening with a rosary to commence at six o’clock in the evening at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road in Nashville. The funeral mass will be held the following day, Saturday, November 4th at ten o’clock in the morning at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1225 Gallatin Road in Madison.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests donations to be made in Patsy’s honor to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to Alive Hospice of Nashville.
