Patsy Marie Tayes' Obituary
Today we celebrate the beautiful life of Patsy Marie Tayes, born in Nashville, TN on April 22, 1941, who left us on May 7, 2026. Her days were filled with simple joys and lively moments that brightened every room.
From her younger years, Patsy showed a keen eye and steady hand, becoming known among friends for her skill at throwing darts. That spark of friendly competition stayed with her throughout life, reminding everyone that determination can be fun.
Quiet afternoons often found her listening to treasured records, letting the music set a welcoming tone for visitors. When the latest soap opera aired, she tuned in with enthusiasm, eager to follow every twist and turn. Those everyday rituals created cheerful memories for anyone who joined her.
Evenings were reserved for bowling nights with her league and spirited bingo games with the ladies, where laughter and lighthearted rivalry filled the lanes and halls. These gatherings reflected her love of community and her knack for turning ordinary outings into lasting stories.
Patsy shared deep bonds with her family, carrying forward memories of her late parents Casper Cecil Craighead and Mary Adella Craighead, her late husband Hubert Tayes, and her late siblings Emma Jean Craighead, Nancy Louise Craighead, Frank Hosale, and Buster Craighead. She also treasured time with her sister Judy Ann Stanphill and nieces Teresa (Chris) Riggins, Ashley (Tommy) Jones, and Lori (Nathan) Smith, while holding the memory of her niece Pamela Stanphill close to heart.
Patsy’s love of music, games, and family leaves a bright imprint that continues to bring smiles. As we gather to remember her, we carry forward her spirit of friendly play and everyday delight.
