Paul Albert Simmons' Obituary
Paul A. Simmons, age 90, was born in Frankin, Kentucky to Elvis V. & Ruby A. Simmons and passed away on July 31, 2026. He worked for over 60 years in commercial construction with Buchanan Construction, Knestrick Construction and Solomon Builders helping to build and shape the Nashville skyline. Paul was a "founding Dad" for the baseball program in Parkwood / Nashville. He enjoyed all sports, especially fishing, golf, and watching football and basketball. His very favorite title was being a PawPaw to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Paul was a member of City Road Chapel United Methodist Church where he enjoyed attending with his family for a number of years.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Deloris Olivia and his siblings, Virginia Wiltshire, Earl Simmons and Marissa Jo Spalding. He is survived by his son, Stan Simmons & wife, Carol and son, Todd Simmons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Natalie Simmons, Stacey & Brad Reece and their children Easton & Brooklynn Olivia, Christopher Simmons, Nicole & Chad Garner and their son, Jaxson Simmons, brother Jimmy Simmons, nine nieces & nephews.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, August 8 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Madison with service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Serenity Mausoleum at Spring Hill.
Active pallbearers will be Christopher Simmons, Jaxson Simmons, Chad Garner, Brad Reece, Roy Morgan, Michael Simmons, Johnny Gregory and Jeff Perry.
Honorary pallbearers: Employees of Solomon Builders.
The family wishes to thank the nursing staff at Williamson Medical for their kind attention and support and to the staff and many friends at Harmony Senior Living for their care and friendship.
