Mrs. Peggy Collier Beatty's Obituary
Mrs. Peggy Collier Beatty, 74, died Monday, November 17, 2014 at her residence in Nashville.
The Nashville, Tennessee native was the daughter of the late Fred and Lillian Mae Brown Collier. She was an avid gospel singer having sung with Jake Hess and the Music City Singers and with The Singing Beattys. She and her husband have fond memories of their trips to Leatherwood Creek on the Kentucky Lake. Mrs. Beatty had a devout passionate love for God and His Service. She devoted her life to her family and Gospel Music that she so loved. Her life could be best described as a woman that loved God and His people. Mrs. Beatty often quoted her mother saying, “Jesus is the Dearest Friend I ever had”.
She is survived by her husband, Monroe “Woody” Beatty; two sons, Kerry (Lisa) Beatty and Brian Beatty; two grandchildren, Jonathan Beatty and Isaiah Beatty; a beloved extended family.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be conducted Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 1:00PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Clark, Rev. T.K. Myatt and Dr. Jerry Goff officiating. The family will visit with friends Wednesday, November 19, 2014 from 5:00 until 9:00PM at the funeral home. Entombment will be in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery Serenity Mausoleum.
