Mrs. Peggy Joyce Bowen's Obituary
Peggy Joyce (Terrell) Bowen, age 79, passed in peace, surrounded by her family members, on March, 21st, 2019. Peggy was born in Nashville to Charles Terrell Sr. and Mattie C. Wingo (Davis). Peggy retired from Service America Corp, where she was known for her culinary mastery. Peggy was a strong-willed, diligent individual with a natural aptitude for many activities, including gardening, ceramics, doll making, sewing, and creating new and improved recipes. She also enjoyed camping, reading good books, watching sci-fi movies, and participating in bible study. Peggy was preceded in death by her loving son, Brian Bruckert; favorite aunt, Bonnie Davis; and best friend, Raymond Hayden. She is survived by her children, Monica Wix of Portland, Tammy Carnal of Portland, Jeanie Schroeder (Mickey) of Greenbrier, Lisa Denley (Gary) of Lexington, Bobbie Bowen (Dale) of Estill Springs, Thomas Bowen of Murfreesboro, and Lynn Mace of Murfreesboro; four sisters, Patsy, Jeannie, Kaye, and Leanne. Peggy, often referred to her grandchildren as her heart. Nana will be greatly missed by 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Hope anchors the soul. - Hebrews 6:19 On behalf of Peggy, the family would like to thank the Skyline Medical Center staff for their exceptional support and care. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 1-4pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A memorial service will begin at 4pm in the Chapel at Spring Hill Funeral Home.
