Peggy Tuders Haywood, 70, of Nashville, Tennessee, sadly passed away on December 6, 2024. She was born on May 16, 1954, in Nashville, Tennessee, to the late Irvin Lee Tuders, Sr. and Dovie Mae Davidson Tuders.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Cecil Tuders; sisters, Marion Jonell Tuders and Nora Mae Deal; stepdaughter, Hope Toplock; and great-grandchildren, Mason and Landon Haywood.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Dorris Haywood; sons, Jay (Candi) Schutt and Jason Schutt; stepdaughters, Doris (Scott) Egbert and Regina (Bryon) Transue; stepsons, Donnie (Angie) Haywood and Ronnie (Sandy) Haywood; brother, Irvin "Bo" (Debra) Tuders, Jr.; sister, Janice Tuders; sister-in-law, Sue Meeker; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchild, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and her daycare babies.
Peggy was a true child of God. She attended Grays Point Baptist Church for 27 years. She was a devoted wife to Dorris for 27 years. She was always ready to tell you how it was. She loved everyone unconditionally. She never met a stranger and always made everyone feel welcomed and loved. She liked to travel, especially to the beach, to feel the sand between her toes. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
There will be a visitation Friday, December 13, 2024, from 4 o'clock in the afternoon until 8 o'clock in the evening. There will also be a visitation Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 8:30 in the morning until the time of service. The service will be at 10 o'clock in the morning in the Spring Hill Chapel. Burial will follow immediately after.
