Peggy Sue Romano's Obituary
Our beloved Peggy, born Peggy Sue Long on March 5th, 1958, in Akron, OH, embraced life with an open heart and a creative spirit that touched us all. She passed away peacefully on July 24th, 2025, in her cherished home in Cross Plains, TN.
Peggy was a kind and thoughtful wife, mother, and friend. Her love for the mountains of East Tennessee often took us to Gatlinburg, where we shared countless memories amidst nature's beauty. She spent hours crafting special scrapbook pages of our favorite moments and designed heartfelt cards that we will treasure forever.
Her kitchen was a haven where she delighted in baking new recipes, surprising us with her delicious creations. In quiet moments, Peggy found joy in her sunroom, reading her favorite novels on her Kindle while watching the wildlife in the yard.
Her passion for decorating made every holiday special, but St. Patrick's Day held a special place in her heart. She always looked forward to Ben's famous corned beef and cabbage, a family tradition that brought us together in laughter and love.
Peggy's favorite things included cooking, arts & crafts, reading, and travel. Her kindness, support, and creativity were gifts she generously shared, inspiring us to find joy in the simple pleasures of life.
As we remember Peggy, we hold close her favorite motto: "Live, Laugh, Love." Her legacy will continue to inspire us to embrace life with the same warmth and joy she brought into ours.
Those who have passed on before her are parents, Casper and Mildred “Jackie” Long.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are loving husband of 18 years, Ben Romano, daughter, Courtney (Seth) Ives, grandpuppy, Lola, brother-in-law, Kenny Romano, sister-in-laws, Lois (Robert Jr.) Robar and Kathy (Chris) Myers, stepsons, Tony (Allison) Romano and Victor (Katie) Romano, 4 grandchildren, nieces, Catherine Myers and Crisie (Mike) Jones, 3 grandnieces, 1 grandnephew, and her faithful and loving dog, Little Man.
