Mr. Perry Lee Cosby Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Perry Lee Cosby Sr. passed away October 28, 2015. He was born June 23, 1942 in Nashville to the late Elmer Adam Cosby, Sr. and Anne Frances (Ford) Cosby. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Earl E. Cosby, Sr. Perry proudly served in the United States Army. After his military service, he worked in the boat manufacturing industry. After 20 years of service at Opryland Park and Gaylord Opryland Hotel, Perry retired. His hobbies included car shows and working on his 57 Chevy Bel-air and spending time with family and friends. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Perry is survived by his daughter Carole D. Mayo-Waller (David); son Perry L. Cosby Jr.; grandson, Matthew Mark Mayo; brother Elmer Adam Cosby Jr.; best friend, Fred Chapman; close friends, Buddy Wade and Gordon McCloud; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 4 – 8 p.m., Friday from 3 – 8 p.m., and Saturday from 12 – 1:30 p.m. at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A celebration of life funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, Saturday, October 31, 2015. Interment will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
