Mrs. Phyllis Arlene Bennett's Obituary
Phyllis Arlene Bennett, 85, or Hendersonville, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, December 22 in Huntsville, Alabama. Born May 19, 1937, in Mascot, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late James Arlie Bennett and Velma Maloy Bennett.
She was a longtime librarian with T.W. Hunter Middle School in Hendersonville and Lakeside Park Elementary School in Hendersonville. Phyllis was a member of the Hendersonville Church of Christ and later the Community Church in Hendersonville. She loved mystery novels, especially Agatha Christie books. She also enjoyed cross stitching and being mother to her son, Brian.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Bobby Bennett and sister Mary Ann.
She is survived by her son Brian Bennett; 2 nieces; 1 nephew.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 28 from 4 pm until 8 pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville. A graveside service officiated by Dr. Hubert Cunningham will be conducted on Thursday at 11 am at Spring Hill Cemetery. Anyone wishing to attend the graveside is asked to meet at Spring Hill Funeral Home at 10:30 am.
