Phyllis Linville Street's Obituary
Phyllis Marie (Linville) Street, 82, (March 30, 1930 May 22, 2012). Preceded in death by her husband, William Fred Street, Sr., grandson, James Adam Street. Survived by sons William Fred Street, Jr., Richard Linville Street (Cary); grandchildren, William Austin Street (Melissa), Joseph Linville Street (Nastasia), and Rose Chandler Street; great grandchildren, Alliyah Gail Street, Aiden James Street, and soon to arrive, baby William; sister, Dorothy Poore, Knoxville, Tennessee, brother, John Linville, Greeneville, South Carolina; sister-in-law, Delores Linville; long-time companion, John Macy. A member of the Eastern Star and Donelson Heights United Methodist Church, Phyllis shared her love of music playing the piano and organ for numerous events. She retired from the Nashville Gas Company (Piedmont Gas), and was a graduate of Travecca Nazarene University. Known as "Granny Phyllis," every child was her grandchild, and no one was a stranger. A kind word for all, she shared her life and her love with everyone. Visitation will be Friday, May 25, 2012, from 10 am 2pm and from 4pm - 8pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home, 5110 Gallatin Pike. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Donelson Heights United Methodist Church, 84 Fairway Drive, at 10 a.m., with a short visitation prior to the service. Interment will be immediately following at Spring Hill Cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Donelson Heights United Methodist Church (615-883-6103) or Cornerstone Church Missions (615-865-6655).
