Mrs. Phyllis Lynn McCleaf's Obituary
Phyllis Lynn McCleaf, 63, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD, after a brief but serious illness.
Born on April 18, 1954, in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of Willie and Frances Jeanine Ray.
Phyllis worked professionally as a Payroll Specialist for Boeing and more recently at her church. She loved to crochet, color, sing in the church choir, play piano, and to cook and bake. She adapted to the obstacles life threw at her. Above all, she adored her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by daughter April Orlofsky, her husband Greg and their children Maggie and Fritz, as well as daughter Shaina Lingg, her husband Mark and their children Landon and Addison. She is also survived by sisters Sylvia Crisp and Dana Hammond, their husbands Dennis and Scott, and nieces and nephews Jamie, Curtis and Tania.
The family will receive visitors from 1:00 to 3:00pm, and again from 5:00 to 7:00pm, on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Stauffer Funeral Homes at 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD.
A celebration of Phyllis’s life journey took take place at 12:00pm on Monday, December 11, 2017, at Fredericktowne Baptist Church, at 8645 Biggs Ford Road in Walkersville, MD. A reception immediately followed.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Amputee Coalition, in memory of Phyllis, and in honor of Tania Wilson, Phyllis’s niece, who donated her kidney to Phyllis and gave her an extra seven years to enjoy her family and friends.

Burial to take place at Spring Hill Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN, 37216 on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 11 AM.
