Phyllis Jackson McPeak's Obituary
Phyllis Jackon McPeak, 84, passed away peacefully at home on June 9, 2024. She was born in Nashville on September 28, 1939, to George and Ann Jackson.
She graduated from Dupont High School in Old Hickory, Tennessee and settled her family there. After working in a few other positions, she started her career at the Dupont Factory and was eventually promoted to supervisor, a challenging and rewarding job for a woman in a male-dominated field.
She was a strong, independent lady who worked hard, but when it was time to relax, she would grab her bikini. She loved sunbathing and spent summers taking her son, David, to the local pool, Horn Springs and laying out by the pool. She enjoyed being physically fit and exercised regularly.
One of her favorite vacation experiences was taking cruises. During trips with sister and several work friends, she traveled to Jamaica and the Carribean islands.
Phyllis is predeceased by her parents and daughter, Donna McPeak. Those left behind to cherish Phyllis’ memory are son, David McPeak, and sister, Betty Jackson, and several nieces and nephews.
