Ms. Prudence Amelia Sorro's Obituary
Prudence Amelia Sorro, age 62 of Hendersonville, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2019. She is preceded in death by her husband of 25 years Ray Sorro, her parents, James and Carrie Harper. She is survived by her partner Digger Van Norstran, her son Ray Sorro, her daughters Jade Adkins and Jasmine St. Clair, her sister Pamela Rodriguez, and her grandchildren Willow, Garrett, Brayden, Elizabeth, Miller, Jack, Amelia, Ozzy, and Leo. She is also survived by one great-grandchild, Abel.
Prudence was born in Oakland, California. She met her late husband Ray when they were kids, they grew up together and eventually wound up marrying. They had many wonderful years together. Prudence was a homemaker most of her life, but in the last ten years or so, she discovered a love for travel. She and Digger traveled all over and saw the sights of our beautiful country. They also very much enjoyed seeing musicals and other plays together. Prudence also enjoyed gardening in her spare time. She was so good in fact, that her daughters remember bringing plants to her they thought were completely withered and gone, and she somehow managed to bring them back to life. She also enjoyed feeding the squirrels and her “Birdie Friends” that lived in her back yard. That was just the tip of the iceberg of all the special things about Prudence. She was incredibly loving, caring, and generous. She had a soft spot for children, and although her children lovingly say she was quite strict during their childhood, she loved spoiling her grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Spring Hill Funeral Home on Monday, June 10, 2019 from 10am to 2pm with a service in the Spring Hill Funeral Home Chapel at 2pm. Burial in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery will follow. Spring Hill Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final care of Ms. Sorro. 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, Tennessee 37216.
