Mrs. Rachel Boone's Obituary
Rachel Carlene (Turner) Boone, age 92, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2017 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Rachel was born on September 14, 1925 in Pegram, Tennessee to Ira and Lola (Pegram) Turner.
Rachel loved attending any type of celebration, whether it be family get togethers, church services, etc. Her grandchildren share the fond memory because she is the one who taught of them to play “skip-bo”. Rachel was a member of Smyrna Church of the Nazarene since 1969 and sang in the church choir. She loved to sing and was singing through her last days. She cherished greatly the life that she had been blessed with.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of forty-five years, Carl Owsley Boone and her son, Danny Boone.
Rachel is survived by two sons, Ira Boone (Lynda) and Raymond Boone; two daughters, Susan Lowery (Henry) and Donna Alford (Joe); ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 from 4-8 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home with an additional visitation held on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 from 11am until the time of service beginning at 1 pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be; Adam Alford, Jacob Lowery, Jeremy Boone, Henry Lowery, Jonathan Woodard and Dustin Boone.
