Randall Little Odum's Obituary
Randall Little Odum, age 89, born April 1, 1934, deceased January 31, 2024. Randall was preceded in death by her father, Buford Mallory Little, her mother Dorothy Binkley Little, her brother Buford (Laura) Little Jr., and her sisters Mabel (Garland) Briley and Reba Kelly.
She is survived by her daughters Lisa (Troy) Northcutt, Susan (Jeff) Wire, grandson, Justin Northcutt, a granddaughter, Mallory Wire, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Everyone thought she was going to be a boy and planned for her to be named after a family member, Dr. Randall Wyatt. When she was born, the comment was made that the middle name could be changed but that the first name would remain the same. She was a graduate of David Lipscomb High School, where she was a cheerleader and a member of the first girls tennis team. She always went by Randall until she started her first job when one of the gentlemen decided she did not look like a Randall but maybe a Randy. From then on she was affectionately known as Mrs. Randy to everyone who met her, especially the hundreds of young children that came to love her as their Sunday School or Mother’s Day Out Teacher. She taught 4 year old Sunday School from the time she was 14 until she could no longer climb the stairs to her classroom. In her lifetime she was a member of Chapel Ave. Church of Christ, Madison Church of Christ, and Hendersonville Church of Christ.
She and Bobby were married for 62 years and after his death she was adamant that she would remain in the home they had chosen together in 1968 until her death. God blessed her with being able to fulfill that wish and to make it to all the milestones she dreamed of reaching.
Visitation with family will be at Spring Hill Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 6th from 12pm to 2pm with the Celebration of Life service to follow with Bro. Larry Little officiating. Interment to follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Goodpasture Christian School.
