Whenever Ray Mason spoke about his nieces and nephews, his face would light up with joy. On July 7th, 2025, we lost this beautiful soul who brought so much warmth into our lives.
Born on December 21st, 1984 in Gallatin, TN, Ray filled his 40 years with love, music, and creativity. He was witty and kind, a deep thinker who enjoyed thought-provoking discussions. As a talented musician, he had great respect for the trailblazers but always welcomed and encouraged newcomers learning to find their "sound."
His passions for arts & crafts and music were a testament to his creative spirit. Ray was resilient, creative, and kind. His caring and thoughtful nature touched us all, and he is already deeply missed. Ray is preceded in death by father, James F. Mason, and sister, Eva E. “Beth” Blittle, grandparents, N. Ray and Helen P. Menees; L. Miles and Eudera B. Mason.
Survived by mother, Alicia F. Mason, siblings, James Christopher (Leah Beth) Mason, Tsarina A. (Jason) Severing, and Diana Rios, nieces and nephews, Wendy L. (Michael) Carris, J. D. Blittle, Ross M. (Chelsey) Traughber, Emily P (Drake) Callis, Madeline O. Severing, Miles J. Severing, Sarah Kathryn Mason, John Franklin Mason, Hannah Mae Mason, and 7 great nieces and nephews.
