Mr. Ray Gilbert Perry's Obituary
Ray Gilbert Perry, 80, of Fayetteville, Tennessee passed away on Monday, August 26, 2019 in Huntsville, Alabama. Ray was born on March 21, 1939 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Paul Perry and Bessie Harrison Perry.
Ray was a history buff and an avid reader. He enjoyed deep sea fishing. He was a member of Brogan Avenue Baptist Church. His family meant a great deal to him, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Mildred J. Perry; brother James Perry; sisters Betty McCollum and Nancy Tidwell.
He is survived by his daughter Regina (Glen) Jacobs, and his sons Dr. Jack Perry, Robert (Kay) Perry, Brian Jarrell, and Christopher (Amy) Jarrell. In addition, Ray is survived by 8 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; sister Linda Phelps; brother Mack (Kathy) Perry; and dear friend and caregiver Daphne.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 29, 2019 from 4 PM until 8 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 PM Friday at the funeral home with the family receiving friends and visitors an hour prior to services. Burial will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery in Nashville.
