Raymond E. Denton's Obituary
Raymond Earl Denton, 73, died December 27, 2016. He is survived by his wife of 491/2 years, Vivian Denton, daughter Rae (Val) Zehel, brother Don (Sulynne) Denton, nephews Brian (Tiffany) Denton, Andrew (Ashlee) Denton, Vincent (Debbie) Wallace, in addition to great nieces, Davie Williams (Kevin), Maggie and Emily Wallace and Audrey Denton.
Loved dearly by mother-in-law, Margaret Gossett and brother-in-law Richard Eric Wallace.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred Eldridge Denton and Ada Elizabeth Denton.
He was a 1961 graduate of Isaac Litton High School, proud member of the Marching 100 and member of the original Vanderbilt University marching band. He honorably served in US Naval Aviation.
After service work, R & D electronics, his hands crafted components that went into orbit with Skylab and to the moon in Apollo 11.
He loved the outdoors and hiking in the woods. He loved his church family and tried to serve in several ways.
