Mrs. Rebecca Ann Jackson Avril's Obituary
Rebecca Ann Jackson Avril, age 89, of Madison, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, June 25, 2021. Born November 21, 1931 in Nashville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late John Franklin Jackson and Mary Catherine Lee.
Becky was a member of Inglewood United Methodist Church until it closed. She then began attending Matthews Memorial United Methodist Church. When she was younger, she loved roller skating and riding her bicycle. As a resident of Maybelle Carter assisted living, she enjoyed playing the piano and tap dancing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Leland Avril, Sr.; stepson Leland C. Avril, Jr.; sister Peggy Crenshaw.
She is survived by her stepson Terry Avril and his wife Patricia; sister Frances Zeller; brother-in-law Bob Crenshaw; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will take place Wednesday, June 30, 2021 from 4 PM until 8 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service officiated by Rev. Luke Lea will be held at noon on Thursday, July 1, with the family accepting friends and visitors two hours prior to the funeral. Burial will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
