Mrs. Rebecca Janine Herod's Obituary
Janine Herod of Nashville, TN passed away on June 23, 2017 at her farm in Sumner County. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Lucille Smith, Thurman Smith; and father, Albert Diehl.
She is survived by her loving husband, Michael “Kent” Herod; her mother, Dr. Evelyn Smith Diehl; daughters, Rachel (Billy) Bowman, Amanda (Pierre) Cooper; Stepsons, John Herod, Joshua Herod; sister, Ameena Lessner; and grandchildren, Jacob Bowman, Jaylee Bowman, Karlie Cooper.
Janine graduated from nursing school in 1982 from TSU. She spent a majority of her life as a nurse, caring for others. She was an incredibly kind and intelligent woman. Janine loved her farm and adored animals of all kinds. She had a special place in her heart for her dog, Boo Boo. Janine touched the lives of everyone around her and will truly be missed. We hope that she has found the peace that she so desperately needed.

Visitation with the family will be held from 2pm to 8pm on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A celebration of life Graveside Ceremony will be held on Thursday at 1pm with an hour visitation prior.
