Ms Refa Nell Dretchen's Obituary
Refa Nell Dretchen, age 88, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019 in Hendersonville, Tennessee. She was born on September 14, 1930 in Granville, Tennessee to the late Henry Carter and Alcie Ragland.
Refa was the youngest of nine children. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of almost 40 years, Peter Dretchen; her siblings Ora Jewell Carter Reynolds, Bertie Carter Neal, Pearly Mamye Carter Harris, Bertha Alma Carter Neal, Martha Carter Harris, Carrie Carter Vickers, Magdalene Carter Montgomery, Ernest Dow Carter; her son-in-law Benjamin Williams.
She is survived by her daughters Vicki Dretchen and Gina Williams; son Bruce (Lisa) Dretchen; grandchildren Kimberly Dretchen, Derek (Jessica) Williams, Matthew Williams, Jacob Williams, Julia Williams, and Kevin Kemp.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 8, from 9 AM until 11 AM at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Nashville National Cemetery.
