It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ms. Reina Carmen Godinez Sanchez on October 6th, 2023, in Nashville, Tennessee.
Reina was born on March 25th, 1973, in El Salvador. She and her sisters were lovingly raised by her mother, Rosa Morales, and her adoptive father, Monserrate Chavez. Her family was her world, and she adored her children Danny, Vanessa, and twin boys Chris and Bryan to the moon and back. She was the most laid-back and chill person, who knew exactly what to say to make you laugh and have a great time. She happily gave her time and energy to help anyone in need. You would be hard pressed to find anyone more hospitable, kind, and supportive as Reina. She was beautiful inside and out and carried herself with undeniable confidence and strength. Her incredible and loving spirit will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
Reina is preceded in death by her father Monserrate Chavez. Left to cherish her memory are her children Danny Sanchez (Analilia), Vanessa Sanchez (Melissa), Chris Sanchez, and Bryan Sanchez; life partner Juan Gabriel Sanchez; mother Rosa Morales; sisters Nelly Chavez and Selene Chavez; fur baby Daisy; and a host of extended family and dear friends.
The family invites relatives and guests to gather at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery for a time of visitation on Friday, October 27th, 2023, from ten o'clock in the morning until the funeral ceremony at two o'clock in the afternoon, with burial to follow at Historic Spring Hill Cemetery; 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37216.
Arrangements for Ms. Sanchez are entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, “Where Nashville Comes to Remember.”
