Mrs. Retha Jackson's Obituary
Retha Mae (Brewer) Jackson, age 83, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2017 in Nashville, Tennessee. Retha was born on August 18, 1933 in Hohenwald, Tennessee to Russell Brewer.
Retha enjoyed planting flowers and their beauty when they would grow, reading, and using her hands to create crafts. She thoroughly enjoyed her time when she was able to travel to Germany and Europe. Mrs. Jackson also enjoyed spending time with her son, William. She was a caring lady and passed along her values to her son. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, William Freeman Jackson, Jr.
She is survived by her son, William Jackson, III; brother, James and wife, Dolly Brewer; sister, Jean Creamer; friend, Marty Harper. She is also survived by a host of relatives and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
